Bio

Dr. Sarah Abboud is excited to return to the ACCCOS board as the Director of Membership. Dr. Abboud graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry where she is also currently pursuing her PhD in Vision Science. Dr. Abboud is currently investigating the pathogenesis of contact lens related corneal infections. Apart from her research, she also provides comprehensive eye care at a local Bay Area practice. Abboud's ultimate goal is to become an independent clinician scientist, educator, and continue serving her local community as an optometrist. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Bay Area, drawing and painting, and visiting her family in Southern California."

Bio

Dr. Chan is a Northern California native. She completed her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley with a degree in Integrative Biology. Dr. Chan continued her graduate training at UC Berkeley School of Optometry, where she was awarded the VSP Excellence in Primary Care Award upon earning her doctorate degree. She completed additional residency training at VA Central California Health Care System with an emphasis in ocular disease, specialty contact lens fittings, and low vision care. 

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Chan enjoys playing a friendly game of basketball or tennis. She loves going out to try new restaurants as well as creating her own recipes in the kitchen.

Lilly CHang, OD

Bio

Dr. Lilly Chang was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology and minor in Spanish from UCLA, she obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. She splits her work week between private practice, a LASIK center, and a nursing home job where she practices mobile optometry in a skilled nursing facility setting to provide eye care to residents, including those who are bed-bound. Dr. Chang also serves as a captain in the Air Force ensuring pilots, aircrew, and other members have adequate vision to accomplish their missions. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, tending to her houseplants, and staying active.
